First guess (and most likely culprit) is a/multiple broken exhaust manifold stud (s). If your Hemi has some high mileage on it, consider it a factor of life. The rear studs are the most common ones to break. I had 3 break on the passenger side with over 200k miles on the clock.

Engine. 6.4 HEMI. In my experience your observations are correct. Magnaflow is a straight through design but is not a “raspy” and doesn’t snap crackle pop like flowmasters. But flow is better IMO, We have plenty of back pressure created by our super restrictive cats in these trucks.

Replacing the muffler with the large-case Magnaflow is a cost-effective way to upgrade the factory 2.75" exhaust for better flow. A 3" cat-back is ideal so if you want best performance I would suggest the Gibson system. It comes with a resonator so there's no drone when the MDS kicks in. We're not looking fro anything obnoxious, just something which lets you know it's a V8 Hemi. As a comparison, she really likes the way her 2016 Durango R/T sounds with the OEM exhaust.
